A Better Floor. A Better Process.
At Kingsway Mastercraft, we install one type of garage floor coating — polyaspartic — because it’s the only system we’re willing to put our name on. Unlike epoxy, polyaspartic is UV stable, meaning it won’t yellow or fade under sunlight. It’s chemical resistant, standing up to oil, salt, and everything a Windsor garage gets exposed to. It cures fast enough to be completed in a single day. And it’s backed by up to a 10-year warranty.
Our polyaspartic system is applied and cured in a single visit — your garage is ready to use the same day we leave. No multi-day wait, no extended downtime.
Every Kingsway floor coating is backed by up to a 10-year warranty — because we use a system built to hold up, and we stand behind every floor we install.
For a seamless finish from wall to wall, we build and coat custom steps, ramps, and splash guards to match.
Built for Windsor's Climate
How We Do It
We begin by diamond grinding the concrete surface to open the pores and create a clean, mechanically profiled base.
Any existing cracks and expansion joints are filled and injected before coating begins.
A primer coat is applied to maximize adhesion, followed by a full decorative chip broadcast.
The polyaspartic topcoat is applied as the final protective layer — locking in the chips, sealing the surface.
Why Polyaspartic Wins
Epoxy is the most widely marketed garage floor coating — but that doesn’t make it the best choice for Windsor homeowners. Polyaspartic is a newer generation coating system that outperforms epoxy in durability, cure time, UV resistance, and long-term performance. Here’s what that difference actually looks like.
Epoxy is not UV stable — it yellows, chalks, and loses its finish when exposed to sunlight. Polyaspartic is fully UV resistant, meaning your floor holds its colour and sheen whether your garage door is open all day or your garage has windows. No discolouration, no surface breakdown, no matter the sun exposure.
Epoxy requires 24 to 72 hours of cure time before your garage can be used — meaning days of disruption and an empty garage while you wait. Polyaspartic cures fast enough that the entire project is completed in a single day. We apply it, it cures, and your garage is back in use before we leave.
Epoxy is a rigid coating that becomes brittle over time — especially in temperature-variable environments like a Canadian garage. It chips, peels, and delaminates under the stress of freeze-thaw cycles, heavy vehicle traffic, and chemical exposure. Polyaspartic maintains a flexible bond with the concrete substrate, resisting the seasonal expansion.
Epoxy has a narrow application temperature range — it can't be installed in cold or humid conditions without risking adhesion failure. Polyaspartic can be applied across a much wider range of temperatures and humidity levels, making it a more reliable and flexible option for Canadian climates where installation windows aren't always ideal.
Serving Windsor-Essex Homeowners
Your garage floor is one of the largest concrete surfaces in your home — and bare concrete is porous, absorbent, and vulnerable to everything from road salt and oil to moisture and freeze-thaw cracking. A polyaspartic coating creates a sealed, impermeable barrier that stops damage before it starts, preserving the structural integrity of your concrete and preventing the costly repairs that come from years of unprotected exposure.
A coated garage floor changes the entire feel of the space — instantly. What was once a stained, dusty slab becomes a clean, finished surface that makes your garage genuinely enjoyable to work, park, and live in. Whether you use your garage as a workshop, a gym, a storage space, or just a place to park your vehicles, a professionally coated floor elevates the function and appearance of the entire room.
Polyaspartic's sealed surface means spills, dirt, salt, and debris sit on top of the floor instead of soaking into it — making cleanup as simple as a mop or a hose. There's no scrubbing concrete pores, no oil stains that won't come out, and no ongoing maintenance required to keep your floor looking the way it did on installation day. It's one of the lowest-maintenance surfaces you can put in your home.
A professionally coated garage floor is a visible, tangible upgrade that resonates with homebuyers and appraisers alike. In Windsor-Essex's competitive real estate market, a finished garage — clean floor, no stains, no cracking — stands out from the moment a buyer pulls into the driveway. It's an investment that improves your daily experience now and pays dividends when it's time to sell.
Garage Floor Coating FAQ
Have questions about polyaspartic floor coatings, our installation process, or what to expect from your project? Here are the ones Windsor homeowners ask us most. Don’t see yours — reach out and we’ll talk you through it.
Q: What is polyaspartic floor coating and how is it different from epoxy?
Polyaspartic is a next-generation floor coating that outperforms epoxy in almost every measurable category. It’s UV stable (epoxy yellows in sunlight), it cures in hours instead of days, it remains flexible in cold temperatures so it doesn’t crack or delaminate, and it holds up to chemical and salt exposure far better than traditional epoxy systems.
Q: Can the floor be completed in one day?
Yes — this is one of polyaspartic’s most practical advantages over epoxy. Our full installation process, including surface preparation, crack and joint repair, chip broadcast, and polyaspartic topcoat, is completed in a single visit.
Q: Can you coat a garage floor with existing cracks or staining?
Yes. Existing cracks and expansion joints are addressed during our surface preparation process before any coating is applied. We inject and fill joints and repair cracks to create a clean, seamless surface — eliminating the gaps that collect dirt and moisture and giving the finished floor a uniform appearance.
Q: Do I need to empty my garage before the coating is applied?
Yes — the garage floor needs to be fully cleared before we arrive so we can prep and coat the entire surface without interruption. This means vehicles, storage items, shelving, and anything else sitting on or near the floor should be moved out ahead of your installation day.
